How to Use Contact-Free Curbside Pickup at Tully Free Library

Contact-Free Curbside Pickup is still available. Keep reading to learn the steps you can take to request items and pick them up.

Step 1: Select Books and Materials

Patrons have two options for selecting items to checkout: placing holds in the online catalog or allowing a librarian to select books based on your needs and preferences.

Patrons who wish to select their own materials may browse the online catalog, locate the desired item(s), and use the Place Hold button to place a hold.

Patrons who prefer that a library staff member chooses books, DVDs or magazines for them should complete this request form. Please provide as much information as possible about your preferences. Library staff will select up to 10 items per patron from materials available at Tully Free Library.

Step 2: Wait for Hold Notifications

If you selected your own materials from the online catalog, you will receive a hold notification by phone, email or text (depending on the preference specified in your library account) when your items are available.

Step 3: Set an Appointment

Once you receive your hold notification, please call us at 315-696-8606 to schedule a pickup.

If you used the request form to have a staff member to select your items, we will contact you to review your selections and schedule a Pickup appointment.

Step 4: Pick Up Your Materials

This is a completely contact-free process.

When you arrive at the library, please park in the handicapped parking space. Library staff will have already checked your items out and placed them in a paper bag on a cart by the parking space. The bags will be labeled with the first 3 letters of the last name and first initial, and the last 4 digits of the library card number.

You must wear a mask and maintain 6 feet of social distancing from others when picking up your bag.

If you do not have a mobile phone, or if you have limited mobility, please provide the make, model, and color of your vehicle when you schedule the appointment. Our staff will deliver your items to the trunk of your vehicle.

Step 5: Enjoy Your Materials and Return them Safely

A receipt listing each item checked out and the due date for each item will be inside your pickup bag.

Please return your items via our book drop, or inside at our circulation desk. If you have borrowed a tech pack (laptop and/or hotspot), please do not put these in the book drop. These should be returned to our front desk. Please call us at 315-696-8606 to arrange a drop off if you don’t wish to come inside to return these items.
