Hannah Hackett

Hannah Hackett is a native of Central New York. She attended SUNY Cortland, obtaining both her bachelor's degree in speech and language disabilities and her master's degree in teaching students with disabilities. Hannah has devoted her early professional career to educating special education students at the elementary level and has taught in districts throughout Central New York for the past twelve years. Most recently she has taught in the Marathon Central School District as a special education teacher for the past eight years. She has spent much of her career focused on developing reading skills in struggling and reluctant readers. Hannah has been involved in a variety of extracurricular and volunteer positions within the MCSD, including hosting SUNY Cortland early childhood and childhood education practicum students.

She is now excited to devote time to her own community as a trustee for the Tully Free Library.

She and her husband have settled in Tully to raise their young family. Hannah enjoys bringing her children to the library frequently for events and programming. She looks forward to using her experience and interests to help continue developing the Tully Free Library for readers of all ages, especially young readers and families. She looks forward to steering this local resource to success for the next generation.
